The Air Force Academy Fund
The Air Force Academy Fund is the foundation for all other fundraising at the USAFA Endowment. The fund partially supports operations of the USAFA Endowment, which has raised over $200 million in support of cadets and Academy programs since its inception. It also is used to provide direct support to the Academy strategic needs identified by the senior leaders.
The Air Force Academy Fund provides direct support to the strategic needs of the Academy through annual allocations to the Superintendent’s Discretionary Fund. In-turn, the Superintendent’s Discretionary Fund then provides the budget to address the needs of the Superintendent’s top priorities for the Academy – with the Top 10 for the 2019/2020 academic year listed below.
Through the combined efforts of the Superintendent’s Discretionary Fund and the USAFA Endowment, the Air Force Academy Fund enables important U.S. Air Force Academy programs including cadet competitive academic teams, international immersion trips, cadet clubs, summer internships, cadet research, and many others. Class giving develops a sense of engagement among graduates and cultivates a culture of philanthropy in support of our Academy.The class giving program within the USAFA Endowment plays a vital role at the Air Force Academy. Alumni who support their reunion giving projects make a significant impact on cadets and Academy programs. Supported projects lay beyond the scope of federal funding yet they expand the excellence of the institution and the cadet experience.
