Honoring Brig. Gen. Andrew Armacost Upon His Retirement
“I’m honored to have spent 19 years serving at the Academy in a variety of roles that support cadet education and development. I am extraordinarily proud of the accomplishments we have made over the last five years. Our work has allowed us to deliver nationally ranked academic programs, to develop innovative educational approaches to support our graduates’ success, and to provide an integrated system of leader development.”
- Brig. Gen. Andrew Armacost
Brig. Gen. Andrew Armacost is retiring from the Air Force and his final assignment as dean of the faculty of the U.S. Air Force Academy. Through his tenure, he commanded the 700-member Dean of Faculty mission partner and oversaw the annual design and instruction of more than 500 undergraduate courses for 4,000 cadets in 32 academic disciplines. He also directed the operation of five support staff agencies and faculty resources involving more than $350 million.
To continue Armacost's legacy and to honor him for the incredible work he has put forth at the Air Force Academy, the USAFA Endowment is conducting a fundraising campaign in support of the Dean's Discretionary Fund, which supports programs in the Dean of Faculty mission element.
Please make a gift to the Dean's Discretionary Fund in honor of Brig. Gen. Andrew Armacost for all that he has done to advance the mission of the Air Force Academy.
