77 Gift Committee Statement 1: Project Completion
This committee considers this Class Gift Campaign a 5-year project and will end on 1 November 2025 if we meet or exceed our $1.3 million goal. We will only continue past 1 November 2025 if we do not meet our financial goal.
77 Gift Committee Statement 2: 45th Reunion & 50th Reunion
This committee will only complete the current Class Gift Campaign “Class of 1977 45th Reunion Gift.” This committee’s intent is to complete only one “ASK” for one “MAJOR” Class Gift Campaign and only one single initiative.
45th Reunion: Our vision is to have our pledges completed by our 45th Reunion where our class will formally and officially present our Class Gift to the AF Academy. (Fall 2022)
50th Reunion: We will be briefed and tour the 1977 Class Lab that we, the Class of 1977, made a reality for our Alma Mater and the Cadet Wing. We also plan a formal dedication ceremony for our ’77 Class Lab at our 50th Reunion as the Legacy Class. (Fall 2027)
77 Gift Committee Statement 3: $1.3 Million Goal
$1 million will fund the construction of the Lab in the Center for Cyber Innovation and our class will be recognized for the life of the building.
$300,000 is an endowment to assist in the funding for the operation of the National Character and Leadership Symposium (NCLS). The class will be recognized as a NCLS Sponsor in perpetuity.
77 Gift Committee Statement 4: When we exceed $1.3 million
When we exceed our goal of $1.3 million, our generous class will continue to add value to the Cyber Innovation Center and its programs for the benefit of our future leaders and our Academy. The committee will work with the Air Force Academy Foundation to choose an additional opportunity in the Cyber Innovation Center.
77 Gift Committee Statement 5: Large Group or Individual Donors
The Class of 1979 has one anonymous donor who is matching funds up to $1 million for their class gift.
Please contact either the ’77 Gift Committee or the AF Academy Foundation if you are interested in a similar and important endeavor.
