The CS-22 Raptors need you! They may not be Tarantulas anymore, but our fellow 22ers need our help! Under the current COVID-19 restrictions, cadets are spending a whole lot more time in their dorm rooms and in the very limited community spaces in the squadron. You remember them – the tiny little TV room and the Terrazzo level SAR. Imagine, you’re a Firstie with about 100 days until graduation and the extent of your social life is your squadron mates in the TV room? No ONPs, no way to visit your girlfriend or boyfriend, no ski trips.
Clearly, the restrictions are there to ensure the health and wellness of the entire wing during this global pandemic. The quarantine helps ensure cadets stay COVID free so they can attend classes and continue with military training as much as possible under the current health challenge. We support the Academy and the Superintendent Lt Gen Rich “Harpo” Clark (’86) in this goal. Our goal is simply to give the cadets of CS-22 a little nicer place to hang out until life gets back to normal.
To help offset this less than desirable living situation, we are working to help fund improvements to the TV room to make the space more comfortable and enjoyable for all of the cadets. The plan is simple: create stadium seating and upgrade the “TV” and associated electronics. And time is of the essence as there are just over 100 days until graduation.
That means this is a flash fundraiser – we need your donations by February 22! We are challenging each class to donate a little over $1500 – or to more specific - $1584, $1585, $1586, or $1587. We can do it!!
You can help this effort today by 1) making a donation and 2) sharing this link with your classmates via email, text or social media.
Please help us make a difference for the 22 Raptors!!
