UPDATE: 20 members of the Air Force Academy Cadet Drum and Bugle Corps (And One PP), have been asked to participate in an All-Mountain West Marching Band for a St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin, Ireland, taking place March 13-19, 2023.
These talented cadets will represent the Academy, playing for over 400,000 attendees!
While the event is a year-out, expenditures are at-hand and your support at this time will help to ensure that travel and lodging logistics can be finalized.
Now is the time to support the cadet Drum and Bugle Corps as they represent the U.S. Air Force Academy overseas!
From the founding of the Air Force Academy “Flight of Sound” Drum and Bugle Corps in 1971 to its invitation to perform in Dublin, Ireland, in 2023, the group has been entertaining the Cadet Wing and people around the world for over 50 years. Always representing the Academy with integrity and honor, the Corps has performed on some of the biggest stages alongside elite company.
The U.S. Air Force Academy Drum and Bugle Corps’ mission is to represent the Academy via musical support of the Cadet Wing and Athletic Department while providing a positive image and improving esprit de corps by developing future Air Force officers.
The Corps has represented the Academy at presidential inaugurations, the Thanksgiving Day, Tournament of Roses, and Mardi Gras Parades, Special Olympics Opening Ceremonies, as well as many athletic championship games. In addition, the Corps recently traveled to Aspen and Keystone Colorado ski resorts to perform at various functions while enjoying the skiing opportunities. The Corps travels thousands of miles each year performing at Academy home and away athletic events.
