Thank you Cadet Parents, Family & Friends!
GREAT JOB!!!
In less than 24 hours we reached our initial goal of $10,000 for this upcoming event, then we raised it to $20,000. Now we have hit that goal as well. Imagine what we can do if we keep supporting. Please click on this link for the long-term goal of this initiative (https://www.cwleaders.org/). Let's make sure the Cadet Wing has the resources for long term plans. More information on future Wing wide events to follow.

Approaching on October 1, the first wing-wide morale boosting ‘International Oktoberfest’ celebration will be held. The event will include food trucks, yard games, and a cadet-led Battle of the Bands. This Falcon Funder has been set up to provide adequate funding for this event, while also continuing to raise the necessary funds for future events to help boost morale!
"Morale is super important to all mission elements at USAFA. It drives key changes from semester to semester, helping us continually improve our cadet leadership style."
- Cadet Wing Standardization and Evaluation Officer
"Without morale and recognition of hard work team members will feel their efforts are going unnoticed. However, if you recognize people’s achievements and their value, they will take pride in and continue to improve their organization."
- Cadet Group 3 Commander
In addition, international cadets will open food booths and cook their countries’ cuisines for the Cadet Wing to enjoy. As a result, this event will serve as a way for us the Wing to incorporate international cadets, as they try to highlight their culture through an ‘International Oktoberfest’ celebration, and it will also serve as a good morale event as the Wing reaches Prog the following week. Four-year international cadets will be encouraged to contribute to the event by cooking/catering food specific to their country. The intent is to have ten countries’ cuisine being represented to finish off International Week in a great way.
Also, this event will provide an avenue for cadet musicians to showcase their musical talents with a Battle of the Bands. The cadet bands will perform on the Terrazo in front of the chapel beginning at 1900 and ending at 2100. There will be three to four bands performing, and each band will perform for 30-to-45-minute intervals. Bands have already been contacted, and the details for the line-up and performances will be finalized in the coming days. Note: Bands playing are volunteer based.
Food trucks will be present for roughly 1000-1250 cadets (Slim Chicken, Bandidos Mexican Grill, and B52 Burgers). Wing Force Protection will help ensure the trucks can make it through the gate. Yard games, provided by Cadet Entertainment, will be present on the Commandant’s Lawn. The soccer goal, already set-up and utilized by DFIP for International Week, will be present for anyone to play soccer. Other games, such as spike ball, corn hole, etc. will be present as well.
