USAFA Cadet First Responder Team

The Cadet First Responder Team needs $7,500 in support to continue providing team members with training to build their capabilities. Your support will help cover the following expenses:

  • Emergency medical responder (EMR) training
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training
  • Team equipment

Your support now will help build the CFRT program!

The Cadet First Responder Team was established in 2001. The team takes cadets from all four classes and provides them with education and opportunities to be certified in both civilian and military medical practices. This highly coveted opportunity allows cadets to provide medical services to fellow cadets at many events, including football games, Commandant’s Training Day, Recognition, BCT, SERE, etc. Additionally, the Cadet First Responder Team has instructors that certify all cadets within the Cadet Wing on military medical practices.

The team’s vision is to provide the high-quality care that patients deserve and assist cadets in continuing their development as leaders of character as they work to become competent second lieutenants in the Air Force and Space Force.

The team’s goals:

  • One year: Achieve 100% EMR and TCCC Tier 2 certification across the team.
  • Three years: Support additional USAFA athletic events and build equipment resources.
  • Five years: Expand team roster and provide opportunities for team members to receive more advanced training.
