Help the Academy’s Schulte Assembly expand its outreach as a gender issues forum that seeks to inform and discuss the importance of diversity in the U.S. military.
This Falcon Funder crowdfunding project has a goal of raising $5,000 to help the organization:
The Schulte Assembly meets to discuss topics such as gender awareness and visibility, the importance of inclusion and diversity to military strength, and discussing ways to break down or redefine stigmas and stereotypes within the military.
The club also engages in outreach opportunities such as the Falcon Visitation Experience for aspiring high school students interested in attending USAFA, the National Character and Leadership Symposium (NCLS), and visits to the USAFA Preparatory School.
The Schulte Assembly was founded in honor of 1st Lt. Roslyn Schulte, who was the first female Air Force Academy graduate to be killed by enemy combatants. She graduated from USAFA in 2006 and entered the Air Force as an intelligence officer. Schulte was deployed in Afghanistan when her vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device, and she tragically lost her life.
