The mission of the USAFA Trap and Skeet team is to enable cadets to grow as individuals and as part of a team while growing the warfighter mentality through competition and firearm education.
USAFA Trap and Skeet team has a rich history at the academy, with records of the club operating and competing as early as the 1960s. In the early 2000s the club faded out due to many unfortunate circumstances. However, through the hard work of many dedicated individuals, the team has been revived and renewed to new heights. In the last year, the team has competed in multiple regional competitions and brought back a combined 2 gold, and 2 silver medals. Trap and Skeet shooting is one the fastest growing sports in the United States and worldwide, with thousands of new athletes getting involved every year. Our team’s goal is to be at the top of these growing leaderboards.
USAFA Trap and Skeet team is seeking support with the main goal of removing barriers of entry for more cadets to participate in our beloved sport. Additionally, your gifts will help to restore a rich part of USAFA’s history, bringing back one of the academy’s most competitive and earliest competitive teams.
