The Academic Success Center (ASC) at the United States Air Force Academy is committed to fostering academic excellence and providing personalized instruction to cadets. Its mission is to advance critical thinking, STEM and communication literacy, and learning strategies.

Working through concepts and problems

"I did not arrive at the Academy with the best academic skills, even after attending the USAFA Prep School. However, my goal and desire to attend medical school was greater than the academic challenges ahead of me. I needed to find skills and techniques to approach my difficult classes like organic chemistry and physics. I utilized the ASC to help grasp concepts in those fields and learn new ways to simplify problems and it completely worked and changed my grades in those classes. That help from the ASC gave me a new confidence in myself that I could really take on challenging classes in my major and compete for medical school. I recommend any struggling student or anyone who is looking to find new ways to study, the ASC is a must! I still use the study skills they taught in my 3rd year of medical school."

Resources for USAFA cadets' success
